French West Indies
French West Indies – Sometimes the people you share a place with are as/more important than the place itself. As perfect as this place is, my experience here was about the people I shared it with. Living on a boat, as luxurious and beautiful as it looks (and it is to a large extent), is a constant symbiosis amongst the people you share that space with. Not only did we need to work as a team to navigate, sail, and generally keep a tight ship but we needed to work together through all the mundane pieces of living together in a tight space. Honestly, sometimes cooking and doing the dishes together is as much a bonding activity as the actual sailing. Every person on this ship filled their ever-shifting roles with grace kept me laughing the entire time. What a beautiful, alive, present, loving, hilarious and inspirational group of souls.
