The idea of biking 14ers had never crossed our minds other than in a vague fleeting “wouldn’t it be nice to have our bikes right now” kind of way while we were hiking out from a ski mission. Until a friend of a friend heard that Mt. Elbert was a good ride. We put our skeptisim aside, excited for the potential of an adventure if not an awesome ride… And that was the beginning.
